Mentioned in virtually every discussion at the forum, the stupendous and stunning growth rates achieved by India and China were identified as one of the powerful drivers of global ‘power shift ’. If the American economy’s slowing down and its ill effects on global trade were a matter of concern for Western business community, then they were certainly upbeat about the prospects of India shining brighter in the coming years.
